Why did we choose Menorca?
Practically it has remained the same as 30 years ago: green, free wild beaches, sociable and hospitable people, genuine food, all fantastic. On the island there is water, pasture and obviously a lot of sea. The services are excellent and the bus service covers the whole island. There are cycle paths, impeccable and clean roads, there are no crowded beaches. Menorca has always been frequented by family-level tourism, but the children have grown up and today "the nostalgics" return to the island with the same philosophy practiced over the years by their parents: love for nature, respect for nature. environment, knowing how to live in harmony and peace with everyone. Those who come to Menorca do so because they love the island, its inhabitants, traditions and that temperate microclimate, typical of an island located in the center of the Mediterranean. There are no equipped beaches, 95% of the same as mentioned are free, safe, perfect for children, because low and crystal clear water. Supermarkets offer a home delivery service on request. The taxi service is very efficient and cheap, for example, from the airport to Playa de Fornells, with only 30 euros “20 minutes driving”. On the island more than Discotheques, DiscoBars. One example is the Cva D'en Xoroi. The nightlife is almost nonexistent "the right" and the maximum can be reached in walks in the historic center or in the port of the cities of Mahon and Ciuttadella where yachts and sailboats from all over the Mediterranean are moored, the restaurants offer a excellent service and excellent cuisine based on fish, meat, aged local cheeses, croquettes with ham, paella and tapas at will "in Fornells, you can eat shellfish soup". There are two airports on the island, the first is Mahon, dedicated to scheduled flights, the second is San Luis, dedicated to General Aviation. The San Luis Aeroclub offers Turist Flight and flight school, in addition, it manages the pitches and hangars with super cheap rates: "Landing fee 10 euros, pitch parking 5 euros, hangar parking 10 euros per day" . It lands under the control of the Mahon airport tower "transponder and radio on board are required". Inside the old terminal there is an Argentine restaurant: "asado de tira, lomo, bife de chorizo, Malbec wine and courtesy at will". On the island there are also sailing centers, rowing, Safari, kiting, kayaking, windsurfing, Scuba Diving, boat rental, riding stables and the route of Cami de Cavalls. The highest mountain on the island "a beautiful sight" is called El Toro. Tourism is mainly Anglo-Saxon, French, German, but lately there has been a lot of Spanish visitors. The wildest, uncontaminated and protected part of the island is undoubtedly that of the northern area. There are also archaeological finds on the island: Seven "Taulas" one of which is in an excellent state of conservation. Menorca also has 7 lighthouses, three of which are present in Ciuttadella but the most suggestive is undoubtedly that of Cavalleria which with its sunset is also visible from the "Isabella" restaurant in Playa De Fornells. On October 7, 1993 the UNESCO international committee of the MaB (Man and Biosphere) program declared the island of Menorca a "Biosphere Reserve". This declaration is a recognition not only of its natural landscape values, but also of the balance maintained between socio-economic development and the conservation of its surroundings, with their cultural and artistic heritage which has remained practically unchanged.

Another peculiarity of the Island of Menorca is: "Deceleration Courses” because as already mentioned, on the island there is a particular microclimate, the brain works better, we manage to be more creative and that is exactly what our guests are looking for. Normally we are under stress all year round and our attention span decreases, we are no longer able to be lucid, we begin to have problems with memory and the ability to respect the times to perform certain things. During the first days in Menorca it begins to decelerate, it is only in this phase that we can understand that it is necessary to lower the active levels and get rid of pressures received throughout the year. Returning to the environment around us, because this is of fundamental importance, we can safely deduce that in this corner of the Mediterranean, we are offered the right conditions, it is the right size that more and more people are looking for but hardly find. In conclusion, I would like to inform you about "Project Zero" that is a global movement of renowned scientists, business leaders, and ocean experts which has set out to secure a global network of ocean sanctuaries in order to provide resilience to the devastating effects of the “climate crisis” generated by the human being. To this end, it has established a crowdfunding scheme for two major sanctuaries one of theme will be in Minorca. Working through the London-based Blue Marine Foundation, a conservation fund for Minorca will be used for projects to enhance the Minorca Biosphere Reserve and enforce regulations for conservation. Project Zero describes Minorca as "a diverse ocean paradise that supports an abundance of life, including tuna, grouper, octopus, lobsters and seabirds".

Menorca health care INF.
In Menorca, medical care and public health are provided by the Mateu Orfila General Hospital in Maó, five health centers "Centros de Salud" (CS), four "basic units" - “Unidades básicas de salud" (UBS )) and three insured medical advice centers "Consultorio". Emergency care is provided mainly by the General Mateu Orfila Hospital in Maó (24 hours), the Centro de Salud Canal Salat in Ciutadella (24 hours) and the Center de Salud Dalt Sant Joan in Maó (8:00 to 22:00), with a limited number of the Centro de Salud (CS) Es Banyer in Alaior and the Centro de Salud in Ferreries. Addresses and telephone numbers are listed below . There is also a private health service on the island (Juaneda runs over 10 emergency centers in Menorca and two private hospitals, one in Ciutadella and one in Maó). Mateu Orfila state general hospital, opened in 2007 with a ready rescue in the island capital Maó (Ronda de Malbúger, 1, 07703 Maó, phone +34 971 48 70 00) it has 142 beds and has replaced the old Virgen del Toro hospital (today it is located there in Centro de Salud). The Red Cross is located in the main towns and on the most popular beaches. With the NHS you usually have to rely on your knowledge of Spanish or Catalan. Many doctors speak at least English. However, only the treatments received by the locals are free; this excludes dental treatments, for example. Deductibles or co-payments are possible. However, it may be useful to take out private health insurance abroad. In the unforeseeable case of illness while traveling it can quickly turn into a financial fiasco and spoil the joy of the holiday. It is therefore advisable to take out additional private international health insurance. It also covers the costs of any necessary repatriation
home or private medical care. If we want to be treated in a public facility we must present the EHIC, that is the European Health Insurance Card issued by your Local Health Authority. Therefore, if during your stay we need medical assistance, even if not urgent, it will be sufficient to present our card at the chosen facility: in general, medical services in Spain are free so you will not have to pay any ticket. In each municipality there are health centers, the so-called “centros de salud”, where the general practitioner assigned to residents is normally present. To make an appointment with a doctor or nurse, you must use the Teléfono de Cita Previa 902 079 079 or the web page IBSALUT
